FAQ

What is Your Experience and Training?

My experience in photography has been a journey that began from a young age. I've been capturing moments with a camera for as long as I can remember. While I don't have formal training, my passion and dedication to the craft have driven me to continuously refine my skills.
Over the past four years, I have taken significant steps to establish myself as a professional photographer. To enhance my business acumen, I completed professional photography business courses through a reputable source, Jailong. These courses equipped me with essential knowledge in areas such as client relations, marketing, and the overall management of a photography business.

In addition to business training, I understand the importance of honing my technical skills, especially when it comes to specialized niches like baby wrapping and newborn posing. I embarked on an online module training program focused on these techniques, facilitated by the well-respected educator Kelly Brown. This training allowed me to develop a unique approach to baby wrapping that emphasizes a natural flow, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and, more importantly, the safety of the infants I work with.

How Do You Keep Baby Safe and Comfortable?

How Do You Keep Baby Safe and Comfortable?
As a newborn photographer, the safety and comfort of the baby are paramount in every aspect of my work. I implement a range of practices and precautions to ensure a secure and soothing environment:

Preparation and Planning: Before the session, I communicate extensively with the parents to gather insights about the baby's health, any medical considerations, and their preferences. This information guides the session's flow and setup

Hygiene and Cleanliness: I maintain rigorous hygiene standards throughout the session. All props, blankets, and materials are thoroughly sanitized, and I consistently wash my hands and use hand sanitizer to prevent any potential germ
I am deeply invested in maintaining up-to-date certifications to provide the best care possible. To this end, I consistently refresh my CPR and first aid training. Additionally, I hold both a blue and yellow card, affirming my dedication to the welfare and protection of the individuals I work with.

While my journey hasn't followed a traditional path, my years of practical experience, specialized training, and unwavering commitment have shaped me into a skilled and responsible professional in the field of photography. I am confident in my ability to capture beautiful and meaningful moments while prioritizing safety and professionalism at all times.

Can I Bring My Older Children and the dog?

Absolutely, I understand the importance of including your older children and dog in the newborn photography session to capture the whole family's story. Starting from the end of September, all newborn sessions will take place in your home, creating an environment where everyone is comfortable and at ease. This setting allows for authentic and heartwarming family moments to unfold naturally.

For Studio sessions booked before September, you're welcome to bring your older children along. However, due to the well-being of my aged dog, I kindly request that dogs not be present during those sessions. My senior dog's comfort and peace of mind are of utmost importance, and I want to ensure she enjoys her golden years without any additional stress.
If you've had the chance to explore my previous work, you'll likely know that a significant portion of it centers around the naturalness of skin-on-skin visuals, often involving implied nudity. If this aligns with your comfort level, it opens up the opportunity for breastfeeding captures or tender cuddling shots. However, if this isn't your personal inclination, please rest assured that there's absolutely no pressure. Your comfort and preferences take precedence—this is about creating an experience that reflects your unique journey. It's worth noting that such imagery can be exclusively for your personal enjoyment and need not be used for promotional purposes. However, if you're open to it, we'd appreciate your consent for any potential use of those images in marketing materials. Your autonomy and comfort are central to our approach.

What is the best age for my baby to be to capture the best images?

The best age for capturing newborn images often falls within the first two weeks of life. During this time frame, babies tend to be sleepier, more flexible, and easier to pose.

Here's a breakdown of different age ranges and the characteristics of each:
Newborn (0-2 weeks):
This is the ideal window for achieving those classic curled-up poses.
Babies are very sleepy and more amenable to being posed.
They still retain the womb-like curl, making it easier to capture adorable and cozy shots.
1-2 Months:
Babies are more awake and alert, which can lead to some beautiful open-eyed shots.
While some newborn-like poses are still possible, babies might be less flexible at this stage.
3-4 Months (Baby):
Babies start to gain more control over their head and neck during tummy time.
They might start showing some smiles and facial expressions, which can result in charming candid shots.
6-9 Months (Sitter Stage):
Babies can sit up unassisted during this period, which opens up new posing possibilities.
They are often full of curiosity and smiles, making for engaging and animated images.
1 Year (First Birthday):
This is a popular milestone for photography, as babies often have a cake smash session to celebrate their first birthday.
Babies are more interactive and might take thei
Think of our time together as a lighthearted outing accompanied by a slightly unconventional lady with a camera. There's no need to stress over how everyone looks or their current moods—we'll find a way to make it work.

It's important to me that everyone feels comfortable and at ease, especially the children. I want to assure you that I won't tolerate any yelling or pressure to make them smile or be happy. We have the luxury of time, and together, we can create a relaxed environment where everyone can be themselves. And if a little bit of bribery helps create those joyful memories, I'm completely on board. After all, this experience is about crafting lasting memories for everyone involved.
